Most parents are looking for traditional values combined with a modern, progressive,dynamic approach. Often the traditional aspect is already present in the school’s existing identity and a sensitive, subtle approach is appropriate.This was certainly the case at Summer Fields. Often confused as one word, the two words have been differentiated through two fonts, one a traditional serif, the other a contemporary sans serif. This is enhanced by the retention of a strong red, particularly when reversed out, combined with a cool grey. The resultant word mark is underpinned with a redrawn, complete school crest and geographical locator.

Our research highlighted that at the core of Summer Fields was a distinctive combination of many values and benefits that most parents might feel are mutually exclusive. This was reflected in the prospectus and established a consistent brand identity, applied across all communication material, including a new web site.
